This Privacy Policy explains how Alvarez Auto Sales LLC, doing business as The Auto Lot ("The Auto Lot," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information you provide through autolotbuyscars.com and related forms, calls, and text messages.

By using this site or submitting a form, you agree to this Policy.

2. Information we collect

When you submit the "Sell Us Your Car" form or contact us, we collect information you give us directly:

  • Contact information — your first name, your mobile phone number, and your email address if you choose to give us one
  • Vehicle information — year, make, model, mileage, VIN or plate, condition, title status, loan payoff details, and any comments you provide
  • Consent records — the date, time, and method by which you agreed to be contacted

We also automatically collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URL, including through advertising and analytics cookies described in Section 7.

3. How we use your information

  • To appraise your vehicle and prepare a purchase offer
  • To contact you by phone and text message about the vehicle you asked us to appraise
  • To schedule and confirm an in-person appraisal appointment
  • To complete a vehicle purchase, including handling a lender payoff on your behalf
  • To meet legal, tax, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations
  • To measure and improve our advertising

4. SMS and text messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services, such as customer service providers and messaging platforms, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

If you check the consent box on our form and provide your mobile number, you agree to receive text messages from The Auto Lot about your vehicle appraisal and any resulting offer or appointment.

  • Message types: appraisal follow-up, offer details, appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Message frequency: varies based on your activity; typically fewer than 10 messages per month
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts
  • Help: reply HELP to any message, or call (509) 783-0888
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or sale. You may still sell us your vehicle without agreeing to texts — call us instead.

5. When we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers who operate our CRM, forms, email, and messaging systems, under contract and only to perform services for us
  • Your lender or lienholder, when a loan payoff is required to complete a purchase, and only with your involvement
  • Government agencies, as required for vehicle title and registration transfers
  • When legally required, in response to a subpoena, court order, or applicable law

6. How long we keep it

We keep appraisal and inquiry records for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward. Records tied to a completed vehicle purchase are retained as long as required by Washington State dealer licensing, tax, and title regulations. You may ask us to delete information that we are not required to keep.

7. Cookies, advertising, and analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google analytics and advertising tags, to measure ad performance and show relevant ads. These tools may set cookies and receive information about your visit. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can adjust ad personalization directly with Meta and Google.

8. Your choices

  • Texts: reply STOP
  • Email: click unsubscribe in any marketing email
  • Calls: tell us and we will note your file
  • Access, correction, or deletion: contact us using the details in Section 1

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these choices.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted here.
